Default Can the S go through the wash?

I received a gift card for one of those car wash places(they put it on a track it goes through the wash and then they clean the inside), I take my girlfriends car there all the time and they do an amazing job. My only concern is because the s is a convertible, will that cause any problems with the ragtop or will I be fine? Thanks

Im not as concerned about how good of a job it does, I took my car to honda and they gave it back to me covered in dirt, I just want a quick clean.

The manual says NOT to do that. That and, how could you take any car through one of those? Aside from screwing the top up, you will mess up your paint (assuming it's a brushed carwash). I'm even hesitant taking my daily beater through those, luckily they have brushless ones around here.

It is a brushless one, how exactly does it mess up the top?

I also looked through the manual and didn't see anything about car washes.

Yeah. Don't run it through the auto washes. In the manual, IIRC, it also says not to do it in one of the DIY washes either. The high pressure can damage your weather seals.

I don't really care about running my DD through the automatics. I think they do a pretty good job. Just not the S. even WITH a hardtop.

Based off my previous car I wouldn't take it. I've had stuff from broken antenna's all the way to scratched mirrors. I guess it depends where you go really. Preferably I would just wash it myself at home, it puts a smile on my face and I know nothing will get damaged.

My apartment complex doesn't have a place for car washes, can someone tell me what page in the manual it says don't take it to one of those places?

You could try washing it at a friends house. If anything just bring your own soap and buckets. If not, there's a few places (not sure if they'll have it in your area) that's almost like a garage, where 3-4 people hand wash your car.
