Basically, do what you want to do. I take my ride to the carwash every now and then. I dont soap the top, i just rinse the top because of sap or bird poo. All you have to do children is not spray too close to the top or body. Get a few feet back and give it a quick spray, then its clean...just like new!

I soap the windows but not the back and I dont use the brush. I go to the carwash to do it manually. I spend a whole 2.50 and its clean in a few minutes. Buy 303 protectant and cleaner...its the shiznit!!!

I use the coinomatic car-wash over by my house, and have no complaints. They even accept CC too

Also, I have no leaks... Very slightly will a couple of drops of water come through the point where the soft top connects, and I never spray the top with high pressure,. Once I am done, I use the streak free portion (that tends to be a VERY low pressure selection) and then I dust off the top.

Also, I go through one of those track driven hand car washes by my house too, no problems with scrapage at all

I think some of you are damn near paranoid. This is a Honda, its made to enjoy.. Not worry about I'd hate to see some of you freak out when we have bad air quality like we do in LA. Would you freak out at what your engine is breathing?

That makes no sense dude. No one is trolling. So far, this is a perfectly mature discussion about the risks of putting an S2000 through an automatic car wash

By the way, I forgot to mention...

There was one touchless auto wash that I used a few times until I realized the under carriage spray was getting water into my headlights. It only happens when I use that one car wash and it takes weeks for all the condensation to evaporate

I've done it to remove bird droppings, when it was 100 degrees outside but with things mentioned here (ie curbing rims, top defects) it'd be best to get piece of mind by doing a hand wash...
