I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area but I am looking to purchase a car in the Kansas City area. I was wondering if there are any S2000 owners in that area that would be willing to go and check out the car for me. I would hate to buy the car and then find out it is messed up and I got a lemon. I have been told the car had hail damage but that it has been repaired. I am curious how well it was repaired and if it looks like new or if the repaired damage is still noticeable. I was also wondering if anyone out there has tips on buying a used 2001? Anything I should look out for? Any notable problems with that model year? Beyond CARFAX is there a way to check with the local police or Highway Patrol for Kansas City to see if the car has ever been in an accident? Is there a way to check with the Honda dealers if it has ever been serviced? I have the VIN number.
