Can someone help me out here.. (pic inside)
Yea that's on the winshield... that stupid rubber thing popped up one day while washing the car... anyway to put that piece back or would i have to order a new one.. i've tried to put it back to no avail
i THINK it's part number 5 listed here

damn that's expensive
but this confuses me..
i know how a lot of you guys remove the "windhield tape" on your cars.. but the car is black so I don't think that's the windshield tape? unless that IS, would it be ok to just remove the whole thing completely or what?
*shrug*
I'm not positive, but I think I've read that guys who removed their tape took a hairdryer to the plastic lightly and it "warps" back into place. I've also heard that parking it in the sun for a while works too. I'd try the latter first.
yea i've seen threads on how to remove the tape, but i just need confirmation that that's the same tape that everyone is talking about..
i got confused and wasn't sure if the black s2000s came with the windshield tape or not... but if so we'll just remove it completely

hey , go get a small tube of 3M BRAND black weatherstrip adhesive (auto parts store or home center ) first clean out all the dirt and wax underneath the seal and then clean the area with alcohol , heat the area up till rubber is soft .. if you have a heat gun or heat lamp this will do the job , then apply a small dot of the adhesive under the rubber then tape down (use blue painters tape only!!! ) and let sit till the adhesive is dry .. that is it .. this will give you a long lasting seal ...

Happens to me fairly often. When I'm thinking of it, I just push it back into place now and then. It usually pops back out, but often enough it goes back flat, especially when it's warm out, and I don't have to worry about it anymore. Then it'll pop out some other place, and I repeat the process. It's not a big deal at all.
