Can you feel the difference in torque?

Faster from 0-60? It's hard to determine since many factors play part in this, but what I could tell you from my experience is that in lower rpm's (cruising), the F22 block pushes stronger (torque), noticeably. However, I did race AP2's with my old block (F20) and ultimately it was always neck to neck. I guess the extra revolutions on the F20 block really helped.

*Note* I swapped into a F22 because I blew my engine and it was the only engine I could find at the moment. It wasn't purposely, though I don't regret it and actually do encourage you to swap into it if you were blow yours also. (knock on wood)

Little difference in feel between them. Not enough to make a difference to chose one or the other for the power difference alone though. I have an AP1 and love the 9k. Would not trade that for more torque but only 8k. However I do plan to get an F22 and bump redline to 8500-8600 or so and get retuned since I will pick up 20-30+ft lbs gains being supercharged. AP1 with 4.44 gears I would think would feel about the same as an AP2.

I had 4.44's in my AP1. AP2 feels like it has more torque.

Hmm maybe idk. I had 4.77's in my AP1 and that felt like it had a ton more torque everywhere than the AP2 I have driven.
Maybe 4.56/57 is a closer match then.

At stock I could tell a difference. With boltons, my TQ @ 2800rpms is pretty much what the f20c peaks at. Yes, I can most definitely tell the difference.

I own a ap2, and my buddy owns a ap1. I prefer the ap2's, they just feel better to me. Easier to putt around town in a ap2 also. Also I am consistently putting down better times than his ap1 in the 1/4.

I have driven both now, and my ap2 I can tell is much faster at any rpm. In the ap1 I was in, which was all stock, it didnt have all that much power out of vtec. My ap2 I didnt even need to downshift. When both cars hit vtec they both fly though. To answer the question though, you can most definitely feel the difference.

If you want the best of both worlds, there is an option. Now, this is my absolute DREAM to do. There is an f20c2 engine with a 9k redline, and the feel of the f22 engine. Thats an expensive swap though...

If you have an 06+ get a flashpro, raise your redline to 8600, and use the extra time you have from being faster to play the worlds smallest violin over 400rpms.

So weird going past the redline. I am looking into a flashpro right now anyways, with the AEM wideband possibly.

06+ with a flashpro is the best.

There are some freak 09's running around in stock trim that would utterly annihilate any ap1. So yes, AP2 is the faster car, better motor, etc.

And I've owned 6 S2000. 3 AP1 and now 3 AP2. If you're going AP2 don't bother with 04/05. Once you have a flashpro it renders the 04/05 completely obsolete.
