Wow, after all that and you guys stumbled right over one of the biggies...

As darkwatch is trying to bring in a US car he would end up with a small washer fluid reservoir, as the Canadian cars are all equipped with a bigger tank than those made for the US. Truth- stranger than fiction, but still the truth.

Hmm Canadian wash resevoir FTW. I also did not think that the exchange rate was so horrible these days. 1.08 CD for 1 USD? that doesnt quite sound right, I may be wrong

Yeah it's painful now paying what we do for cars. People are willing to give up warranties that don't apply across the border for the benefit of saving $10k, $15K, even $20k+ on the price of a brand new car to buy in the US and import to Canada.

You will need bi-lingual(French) Airbag warning stickers, DRL
no bilingual airbag stickers are needed since they are not servicable airbags. I found this one out the hard way.

Canadian cars also have a different alternator. It's exactly the same specification as the American cars, but has more corrosion protection.. (LOL).

It's almost like they designed the car around Canadian myths.

As has been commented on - yes, all Canadian S2000s have DRLs. All cars in Canada sold in 1991 or later are required to have them. It's easy to install them - you need a DRL controller box. The wiring is simple.

Yup. One of dad's friends' saved over $10k on a Tundra. He said "for that amount of a savings, if anything major goes wrong I'll pay somebody to trailer it there and back for warranty service and rent a car. It will still be significantly cheaper in the end".
