Candle wax burning smell?

same thing happened to my car, I changed the tranny fluid and smell went away. It would be really noticeable when I'd pull into the garage. I wouldn't say it's a candle wax smell...least for me, it was more of a slightly stinky smell.

i'd say hot brakes or you're riding your clutch too much.

funny I get a similiar type smell too when it's cold. Smelt it for the first time last Oct. then i smelt it again last week. I thought it was the therma coating around my pipes but since stock guys are also smellin it maybe it's something else. I mostly smell it at cruising so doubt its brakes or clutch 9 not right after accelerating from a stop or changing gears)

The only time my car smells a bit is on cold mornings when I start it up in the garage before I pull out with the top down...likely just because the engine is running rich/cat is not yet working till it warms up.
