If a new S is an option, and your in NJ, I suggest you contact/PM S2LEGEND (Phil). He is a salesperson at Babylon Honda.

He has helped numerous NY Metro members get into S2000, as well as other Honda mondels.

He is extremely helpful and, if he can't deliver, will surely point you in the correct direction. Check out his references in the Metro NY forum.

I bought a new CR two weeks ago for $10k under MSRP.
People are buying new, regular S2000s for under $26k.
Just wondering, C: How many miles were on your CR when you bought it?

Thanks.

30 miles. Not bad for a car they had for over a year. So next time you hear a "They wouldn't let me test drive without a deposit, WTF?!!" thread... well, I'm glad they were protective of the car. It was minty fresh for me.

I put on 600 miles this week.

Some dealers are abusing the fact that the S2000 is not manufactured anymore. Yet, they forgot that the economy is still in recession. You should be able to get cheaper than that. One more thing before you buy an S2000: "Try both engines first."

Just bought an '02 with 14.5k miles for way less than that. Run away from that deal.

I was at a used car lot and they have a gray S2000 with 21k miles on it and clean as a whistle. They want 19500 for it but get the feeling there is some room to move. Is there anything I should be looking for that are issues in the 03? I would have loved to buy new but just cant find one out there under MSRP and I hate to spend that and get hit with the depreation right off the bat.
I just bought a 04 with 18K miles and a hardtop in brand new condition for $18000 and I'm in probably the most expensive market there is for an S2000. I would consider $15K for that car.
