Default Can't I ever drive in peace?

This has been like an every day thing now. Can't go anywhere, without some young kid in a riced out civic or tc or even a lifted jeep or truck. Always seems to be ricers and rednecks in lifted trucks or w.e that always wanna race or intimidate me. I'm getting really sick of it. Can't even go pick up my little sister from school without anybody trying to race. Just wanna drive or cruise around in peace without somebody always trying to race or do crap. PROS, I do get a lot of complements and always get people saying nice things too. I love my S2K but just sometimes get mad I can't go anywhere in peace. Does this only happen to me or is it more often then I think.

if there is someone going the same speed next to me and there is no one behind me, I just slam on the brakes and let them go ahead of me then just go slower than them the rest of the way, if they want to race me come with me to a track day, otherwise get lost!

LOL!

I never get picked on...
Now in my 300ZX, I always had punks messing with me.
It had rims and exhaust though and my S2k is stock so that might be why.

I get that sh*t too. Almost always some kid in a Civic or Subaru with a spoiler

Ignore the immaturity and feel sorry for their inadequacy.

If it has a loud exhaust, its going to get more attention.

Just ignore them.

I have a quiet custom set up on mine and no one tries to race me. My friend has dual Invidia N1's and everytime we go to a car meet I feel like I'm driving next to Brian O'Conner.

Agreed. The only way to win is to not engage. I also try to remember that for everyone that tries to do/say something dumb, you'll also experience the flipside. The other day we were driving top down in the neighborhood and a kid maybe 3-4 years old stops, points and says "Daddy look a racecar!" I stopped for a minute, waved back, and thought hey, that's how I feel every time I push the Start button!

My advice is just be cool, and let your S speak for itself.
