Default Can't remove soft top frame from two mounts.

Hey, I'm in the process of removing my soft top in order to save weight. I have everything out, but I'm stuck because I can't figure out how to seperate the soft top frame from the two mounting brackets on each side of the vehicle. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

If you have the motors out and the 5 bolts on each side of the frame it should lift out. you need two people to really lift frame off. You have also removed all the metal from the back side were the top rain seal is?

I used an EXCELLENT DIY written by cyclone36. It's under the DIY section under Robbins Top install. You just follow the steps that he has listed until the top is gone. The only additional step is removing the soft top motors. All you have to do is remove two plates on each side of the vehicle an the whole frame (motors and all) comes right out pretty easily. Hit me up if you need any help when you get around to it. I love having the soft top out.

The write up is specifically for the Robbins top, but I would GUESS that most of the steps are pretty darned similar. It's a damned thorough write-up.
