Default Can't see tach!

I'm in the market to buy an S2000 and soon.

I drove one last night (unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed, had cash on me to buy it and everything), but noticed that I couldn't see most of the tach. The steering wheel is right in the way.

I tried to adjust but couldn't find anything. What have you other 6" and-a-half-inch guys done to resolve this? I'd hate to have to lean back too much.

one thing tall drivers can do is buy an aftermarket lowered drivers side seat rail for about 100 bucks or modify your stock one so that you sit about an inch lower.

no the steering wheel is not adjustable.

I'm 6'3" and I can see it just fine. Maybe the seat isn't adjusted properly?

I would suggest adjusting the seat and trying it out before you write it off.

im 6'1" and have the same issue (you must have a long torso). you can get the backyard special seat rails which let you keep the stock seat and drops you down about 20mm or get a fixed bucket seat and seat rails which will drop you down a couple inches (depending on which rails you buy). if you still have issues after adjusting the seat as recommended previously.

You could also get a shift beeper so you know when it's at redline.

I'm 6'3". I'm so used to pushing the seat all the way back.Try scooting forward and leaning back. The clutch is long in the S and it will help you shift better while lowering your eye-line.
