I'm a Porsche guy, and I wouldn't even buy a Boxster, unless it was for the wife or daughter....

Get the S, you won't be dissappointed

I sold mine but its only a temporary thing. I've set a limit of three years before I either have another S or one of these (www.caterhamusa.com). As far as a daily or regular driver goes though you can't beat the S, its truly a phenomenal piece of machinery.

If money is not an issue, the Boxster S hands down.

No flames but IMO...

I used to own a 2001 S2K, now a 2000 Boxster S. I could've bought a new S but the style of the S didn't really stir me. The Boxster S has classic lines.

The cost of maintenance is all relative. For example, with my Boxster, I only need to get an oil change perhaps 1 a year because it uses synthetic ($90). On the other hand, the S should probably get an oil change every 3-5K. With oil changes ranging from $30-80 for the S and if you have to do that a couple of times a year, it is equal or perhaps more then the Boxster.

Anyways, in the end test drive and buy what you like.

You can get a older viper 94-95 in the 40-45,000 range(low milege) and it goes up from there. I almost bought a 96 gts supercharged for 58,000 (4,000 org miles)...

You should buy a z3. That's what most of us on this forum own. We're just S2000 posers. We like to give the rice box guys a bad time.
