Man I've had it!!!!!!!!! The trees are spewing forth pollen and I can't keep my car clean for 5 minutes. Anyone got a good line on the best car cover for a stook? I really need one, and soon.

Both Rick and I have gotten the Weathershield car cover from Top Notch Auto, one of the board's sponsors. Rick can let you know how well it works. Mine is still packed in its box, because, in the garage, I like the Honda cover with its soft, warm and fuzzy inner liner.

I bought the Weathershield and then picked up a "used" brand new Honda cover for $100 from a former board memeber.

I have the weathershield too. Works great and the fit is perfect. It is very thin and supposedly protects the car better than the other much bulkier car covers available. (it is actually on my car right now with about 4 inches of snow on top of it, expecting 1-2 feet more today and tommorrow). The person at Top notch that I spoke with was great. Got it for $225 plus shipping with the s2000online discount. Brian

I have the Weathershield also, great cover, minimal bulkiness, fits like a glove, IMHO the best cover out there.

For years I've used only 100 percent cotton car covers, because I don't want any polyester or manmade fibers touching (scratching) my paint. However, my cars are garaged too.

If you want another source of covers to explore, try California Car Cover Co. at 800-423-5525 or http://www.calcarcover.com. This company has eight different grades of car covers, and my experience (as a customer) always has been excellent.

Barry,

I'd also be interested in the comparison of the Honda cover vs. the weathershield. Or anyone else have any feedback on a comparison. I'm planning to get a cover very soon as well.

Thanks....

I have both the Honda Dust Cover and the WeatherShield Custom Cover.

I like the Honda Cover because of its' soft flannel underside. It's been on and off the car many times and has never left a mark. Also, it provides a little bit of ding protection.

I purchased the WeatherShield for the rare occasion I have to park my beloved in the rain. Also, the WeatherShild is much smaller and doesn't take up as much trunk space. I like the idea of still having a cover with me on trips. The WeatherShield provides NO ding protection at all and the underside is a little harsh, but it is very light weight. I haven't used it directly against the paint yet. My car is snuggled up for the winter under both covers in the garage right now.

NOTE: The Honda Dust Cover comes with a storage bag. The WeatherShield did not. I provided my own bag.

Side by side comparison:

Honda Dust Cover takes up the whole trunk well.

WeatherShield Cover folds up nicely.
