Default Car Cover suggestions?

I just by beautiful ultra low mileage RYP AP2 a couple weeks ago, and am trying to get together all the things I might need for it. My current wish list includes wheel locks, seat locks, and a car cover. Does anyone have any suggestions for any of these? I've read that the OEM cover from Honda is a dust cover only and does not protect against rain?

car covers: https://www.google.com/search?q=best...ite%3As2ki.com

Kodokan sells seat locks. Scroll down the index page in the S2000 Talk section.

The dealer threw in OEM wheel locks when I bought mine so don't know what to tell you there... other than try using search.

Yeah, tons of threads on car covers if you search.

Bottom line is: indoor or outdoor use, how much do you want to spend and how badly do you want to keep your paint looking good?

I use CoverKing Silverguard on my 03S year-round.

Works great!

Just bought the Covercraft Noah after doing some research online and asking some local s2k owners. Put it on this weekend and it fits very nicely. The cover saw its first heavy rain yesterday so I lifted it up this morning to make sure it did its job and it did, car was completely dry.

Most important factor with a cover is not to put the cover on unless the car is clean. As in you just washed it clean. Especially if its used outdoors. Wind will move the cover around and grind any dust into the paint like sandpaper.

If your car isn't totally clean, better to leave the cover off, even in bad weather, even in snow, than to put cover on a less than perfectly clean car.

Indoor use its a little less strict. The only damage occurs as you put cover on and later take it off. But then you imbed the dirt into cover so every time future you use cover, you cause damage.

Proper use of outdoor cover = wash car, cover, leave cover on and don't drive car until you are done with storage season and ready to drive car.

Depends on what you're looking for from a cover. IIRC Covercraft has a chart that compares different materials. As indicated in other posts there are many prior threads you can reference as well.

I stopped using my oem cover because of how many scratches I got from it even if the car is just washed

Make sure the wheel locks are the short ones for the S. You don't want them sticking out. I got mine at the dealer, it was $5 more than eBay and I knew it would work.

Get Modfry's straps.

Do the rear axle nut torque.

Keep the car garaged and you won't need a cover/ no scratches.

Tint the side/back windows.
