Default Car covers

Hey everybody do you have a favorite brand of car covers for outdoor use for your S2000, I live in the SF bayarea so snow is not an issue but we do get rain.

thanks

I use the Costco CoverKing ones. I used to park out at the airport for a couple weeks a month and they would last a couple of years. I use a small size one for the S2000 but I actually cover it in the garage to keep the dust and dog rubbing off. You should keep the car clean for using a cover as the cover can scratch the paint if it is dirty.

Look at Covercraft.com. They have S2000 custom fit covers in a variety of materials for both inside and outside use. I've had their Dustop inside cover for 16 years. Great quality, but can be $$$.

This...I've had a covercraft weathershield HP cover for years, my car is outside for the summer months and the paint looks virtually brand new because this is a great cover for all weather protection!

A loose cover is to be avoided. Wind will move it around causing scratches.

So a fitted cover is usually better than a generic cover in this regard. Also, using the under car straps to pull it tight will make a big difference.

A heavy cover is also vital, as wind won't move it around as much.

Also pay heed to the comment about the car being clean every time you place the cover on.

I have a 2-car garage that houses the NSX and S2000, so I am forced to keep my Lexus IS300 stored outside during the snowy, icy midwestern winters here in Illinois. I bought a Covercraft Noah cover. It's reasonably priced and does a good job of protecting the car from the elements. However, be aware that with any cover some moisture WILL get through to the car (if your cover doesn't "breathe", it traps moisture beneath is and can ruin the paint and presumably lead to rust). A garage is best, but if that's not possible, buy a good cover.

I love my ScienceofSpeed indoor cover. Unsure if they make an outdoor cover though
