Default Car covers/security

Looking for a nice high quality car cover because i cant stand to leave my car parked uncovered...but i don't want it to be stolen when im away...
Ive found a nice OEM cover with the S2000 logo and so many layers etc, but i fly a'lot and don't have a garage to put the car in at home so i was wondering if anyone has found a way to "lock" the cover on.

OEM cover is not for outdoor use if there is any chance of precipitation.

Many covers have a cable/lock system, but if someone wants it bad enough they can just cut around where the cable latches to the cover.

I LOVE my Covercraft WeatherTech HP cover!

I am VERY particular about my S and keeping it looking like new, this cover goes a long way in helping that happen.

It's a very lightweight cover that repels water very well while at the same time, breathes to keep moisture from sitting on your paint.

It can be tied down when it's windy, it even stayed on the car through hurricane force wind gusts.

Not a cheap cover but excellent protection, has cutouts for the S2000 mirrors and antenna and very easy to put on and take off the car.

I always make sure the car is clean and/or free of dust etc. by going over the car with a California duster and QD before covering it.

To me, here's the rub with car covers (no pun intended). It's not always practical to have the car clean/dry every time you need to cover it. Dirt left on the car gets on the inside of the cover. Then, you're pulling sandpaper over your nice shiny paint. I don't even want to think about a dirty rear fender covered on a windy day.

You're right, I don't use the cover if the car isn't clean as it will do more harm than good.

Car covers are for long term storage. Costco has sales on custom car covers every now and then.

www.scienceofspeed.com has a good one.. I believe its in the $200 range and cut for the S2000 body so everything like the mirrors and such sort of fit into place.

Its breathable for indoor/outdoor use.

I bought my car cover 2 weeks ago from ebay (the OEM one PN: 08P34-S2A-101 for ~$170) and it comes with 2 holes at the bottom of it (near the doors). Went to some hardware store to get a cable and 2 padlocks to secure it and it's perfect. Of course, if someone really wants to steal it, it can cut either the cable, the padlocks or the cover near the holes but I've learned that all you can do against thieves is make their life harder if they want something.
