Default car died on street

Just bought a 2001 with 22k miles on it.

I was driving home from work today and the car started sputtering and wouldn't rev past 4.5k and then the car started losing power and finally died and I had to coast it to the side of the road.

Now I have been trying to start the car and it wont start. The radio and lights still work. I am going to have it towed to Honda Dealership tomorrow morning

Can anyone possibly help diagnose the problem>?

Car was driving fine before this happened.

What did the sputtering sound like?

Hopefully it's just a MAP sensor.

But I've never heard of a MAP sensor just completely giving out when driving.

Hopefully the car wasn't abused in any way or had past cracked retainers and dropped a valve.

Any CELs come up? Any heinous grinding sounds?

The car sort of wouldn't rev past 3-4 k all of the sudden and then the car started choking in a way....

After this I had to pull over because the car turned off.

Just before the car died the check engine light flashed 2 times and the car shut off and would not start after that. The lights and radio and everything still work but car wont start.

No grinding sounds.

The car is getting towed tomorrow to the dealership. I hope it is not anything major. Any other possible ideas?

Have you tried to start it again? Fuel starvation might be an issue?

i had to go to gas station and put gas in with a gas can. so it should have at least 3/4 of a gallon. is this enough?

3/4 of a gallon of gas might not be enough if it was completely empty. After adding the 3/4 gallon of gas, was the car parked on an angle? It could be that the 3/4 gallon of gas was sitting low in the tank.
