Just saw the new C/D. S2000 is not on the car and driver 10best list anymore. the spot is replaced by nissan 350Z. what do u guys think?

 

That question's already been beat to death in at least two other threads. Personally, it makes no difference to me how C&D ranks cars. I'm happy with my personal rankings and the S2000 is still #1 there.

 

Fourth year and no "major" updates. Plus, with the production/sales numbers under 12,000 in the USA per year, of course they aren't going to keep it.

Most, if not all still on the list have made "major" updates. A glass window is a convience update. A three year run on the same platform ain't bad.

Besides, I've been noticing that the C&D folks are changing the way they look at cars. Our car just isn't a simple car made for stoplight drives. That's what they seem to like lately. Our S is more of a track/autocross race car (at least inspired by them).

 

Car and Driver is always full of s@#t! I couldn't car a less what they have to say-I don't even read the free copy my work gets-I throw it away. I nearly puked when they ran the bullcrap about the G35 coming in 4th place in their shootout after every other mag put it 1st-then being crowned Car of the Year in Motortrend. What egg on C&D's face. I guess they will put anything on the cover to sell their crap. I do think the Z/G35 is worthy of the top ten list in any mag by the way.

 

Car fell off the list? Car must suck now. Sell it.

 

I'm not surprised. Nissan has some hot products and it's all about the latest Hot Product. The S2000 has had a great run and here's a little proof:

C&D list sometimes defies logic.

I bought a V6 passat after it "won" a comparo against V6 accord, camry, etc.

anyway a few issues later accord beats out the passat for 10 best list.

350Z is a great car. But I think there is a quota of so many sports cars so many family cars etc.
