Got One! (Now, how do I get it here?)
Well, after months of deliberation (during which time this site has been an OUTSTANDING resource
), I finely bought an '03 Silverstone/Black!
Trouble is, it's in Cleveland OH, and I'm in Raleigh, NC. Generally not a big deal since I have family up there that I need to visit anyway, however the dealer said the car was under about a foot of snow right now, and this thread scard the crap out of me:

Especially this pic

So, my question to the group is this: How can I get my car home, short of waiting 'til April??
Thanks for your suggestions,
Wolfpacker

Alexf20c,
We may not have your kind of weather here, but any given day this time of year it's as likely to 70 as it is to be 30. We only get the white stuff once or twice a year, but that's what the Dodge Ram is for!
Now, I just got to get my new toy down here so that I can enjoy it!

Thought about it. Went to the U-haul site, which is just about as frustrating a site as I have visited in a while, and ended up finding out (eventually) that the S2k is not an approved vehicle to be towed due to the ground clearance, and damaging the rear when loading it on the trailer.
I've towed cars on U-Haul car carriers before, and they seemed pretty low to the ground. Anyone know if this is really an issue with an S2000?

Yikes...!
That's a picture of my first S2000, Scarlet, which lost her life into a wall at about 45mph on Lake Shore Dr. in Chicago about 3 years ago. She was totaled, but rebuilt and is now a show car.
But as to your dilemma, just pick the damn thing up on a trailer and be done with it. Speaking from experience, I can tell you that S02's don't do well in cold.

Sorry to bring up bad memories, gregstevens!
I guess U-haul's policy not to trailer an S2000 is just crap, so I'll tell them it's a Civic or something (or find a car carrier from another rental company).
Thanks, everyone for making me see the obvious!

If you use a U-haul trailer be very careful with the nose of the car. If I remember right the front of the trailer has a raised portion that will hit the nose.
Why not just have the car shipped by a real car hauler.
Look at Passport Transport, Intercity Lines and Horseless Carriage.
