I would personally get the 2004, which I just might be doing soon enough. That is, if I like the new front bumper which I am kind of worried about. I have seen a picture of what the they think it will look like, and YUCK!

If what a dealer near by tells me is true, I'll be able to make my choice next week sometime.

I'd wait for the '04 and drive it compared to an '03 and make the educated decision at that time.

You can see a picture of the actual new S2200 on the back of the new Honda brochures. It's a small pics, but it is not a guess.

Well, this is the old torque v rpm. And sprinkle in a bit of confusion.

I think you've oversimplified this a bit.

Yes, power falls of as the engine revs from 8300 to redline; however, power would fall off much more sharply if you shift to the next higher gear at 8300. It's not just the power in the current gear that matters, but also the power that would be available in the next gear.

Yeah I tried to go find a new brochure, but none of the dealers have the 04 brochures yet

Opinion on what part? While none of us will know till more info is available, my estimate is that (assuming no significant weight change):
It'll be slightly quicker in an all-out acceleration run. So a slightly faster 0-60 and quarter. But in normal driving, ie when below 7500 rpm, it'll probably be about 5-10% faster since it likely have 5-10% more torque at any given rpm. That's for the same gearing (which apparently is not the case). So, presumably better driveability.

I don't consider this the world-changing event that some here do. But also, I don't own one.

Let's wait and see.
