Default car leak help

a couple weeks ago, we had all that rain/flooding in richmond, and my car had a mildew smell afterwards, after looking, i found that the passenger floorboard was kind of wet. at first i figured that it was just from gettting in and out of the car and wet umbrellas etc. well yesterday, i get in my car and the mildew smell is back, after looking around again, i find that my passenger floorboard is soaked. it is the area right in front of the beam that goes across and it is in the center and goes almost all the way to where the floor starts to slope up near the firewall. i looked everywhere and there was no sign of water anywhere else, the seats were fine, everything was dry as can be behind the beam, dry near the door, the dash and visors looked like they hadnt gotten wet. does anybody have any idea where this water may have been coming from? my only guess that i can come up with is the grommet going through the firewall, i do have my power wire for my sound system running through that, but i didnt have a chance to look that far up.

any ideas?

There's an A/C condensor drain hose somewhere in there, I believe. Check for that.

My Cavvy does this, believe it's due to a crack in a winshield gasket. Dunno if that'll help, but I've known a few cars to do that.

My old VW Cabriolet used to do this. It took me quite a while to discover that the heating system air intake (just below windsheild, under hood) was clogged and the water was flowing in thru the air ducting. Being a convertable, I was looking for leaks everywhere else. Don't know about the honda, but check the cabin air intake for a clogged drain.

Thumbs up

brerspidur,
Did you resolve this problem? I have the exact same symptoms as you described on my 2004 S2000 that's only 9 months old. It rained for ~3-4 straight weeks in Northern California so my car saw more rain than usual. Bringing it to dealer tomorrow but help from the forum can still help. I did a search but yours was the only one relevant.
