do these things just break or is it a wear and tear item. What should I be looking for
Next time you get an oil change from the dealers, ask then to check all the mounts for you, engine, tranny, and diffy. Its freet o inspect if you do an OIL CHANGE

If you just bring it in, its a 60.00 diagnostic check.
Sounds like it could be your tires tracking the rain grooves in the freeway.
Try driving at the same speed on an asphalt road (no rain grooves) and see if it does the same thing.
If that's the case, there's really not much you can do about it.

i made a post a few days earlier about the same problem. still haven't figured out what could be causing it, but it started after i put on new rear tires. toyo 245/45/16. It feels very unstable at highway speeds. I think this car is really picky with tires.

the OEM AP1 So2's are really nothing to write home about IMHO. any quality tire does the job just fine. Toyo/mich/BFG/falken. all good choices.I did say OEM or better. But OEM will at least be stable and safe. That was my point. I wasn't trying to sell tires or anything.
