The s2000 holds leftover smell really well. Maybe because its small. If I spray on cologne and drive to work with the top up, it smells like cologne a little when I get in it 9 hours later to drive home. So I think its probably just your sweat you are smelling.

i have other whacked out suggestions if anyone else would care to listen... the american way would be to put baking soda under your seat... arm and hammer makes refrigerator sized boxes that works well for putting it in your car... also what works really well is putting a few pieces of charcoal inside the car (the ones not impregnated with lighter fluid) carbon absorbs chemicals.

Actually, I used to smoke in my car (bob marley style) but I would keep the smoke out as much as possible so I figured it could maybe be that but I doubt that would cause a sweat smell. I think I will try a few of ya'lls suggestions and see what happens. I know for sure that I have to change my air filter...I have 20k and haven't replaced it. Especially since its really hot down here.

As for cleaning the soft top inside - how would I do that? I take really good care of the top outside but never cleaned it inside.

Question - Is it ok to go to the carwash and rinse your top off with the "water" rinse they have at carwashes. I usually (when Im lazy) wash my car at a carwash and just rinse the top, I dont soap it. Is that ok?

Thanks,
JmIkE

I sprayed cologne thoroughly in the car and especially in the carpet. Ever since my car always had a nice smell, not that it smelled bad before.

i havent had any odor issues, but i do like the car to smell "fresh"

I got a tip from the Fiance and bought some dryer sheets(i like to use bounce sheets lol) and stuck one under each seat, one in the glove compartment, and one hidden away at the end of the dash.

Ive noticed that these sheets last longer than my usual "black ice" car freshner that i hang inside the car before.

smells like fresh laundry in my car everytime i hop in!

Take a lesson from Bill Clinton - don't inhale! And, in the future, don't do those sweaty disgusting things in the S2000.
