Default car snappier to oversteer turning left?

Taking advantage of some storms I went down to a deserted bit of tarmac to mess about and practice some car control.

I was doing figure of eights, 1st > 2nd gear brake, atempt to hell toe to 1st, hold it near the limit round the corner at about 5-6000rpm. At the end of the corner I'd give it a bit too much throttle to get the backend out, try and correct the slide and back the other way.

I found when turning right I could pretty much hold the car on the limit then get it to slide and correct. After a few runs I could even hold it in a powerslide for a second or two. Going the other way turning left I couldn't realy get it smooth and span out a few times.

My car is stock on s02's I think the tire pressures are the same all round I checked them last week.

Am I imagining it or is a LHD car more snappy turning left with one passenger in or is something else going on?

Is your alignment even, or did your tire shop add anything for the grooves in the road?

it might have to do with the engine.. forgot how to explain it.. but my r/c car does it. i know its funny comparing it to a toy car..
something to do with the engine torque.. and the way the engine spins..

It might seem that way because you are sitting in the left/driver side. If your car is right hand drive it will be easier for you to turn/spin to the right and harder to smoothly snap it goin to the left.

I feel the same way. Have not driven a RHD Car before but I have heard from another driver thats used to driving RHD with the same case.

it probably really does have a lot to do with what side of the car you're sitting on, as it throws the weight distribution from side to side off.

I doubt the weight of a passenger compared to the weight of the car really makes an appreciable difference in the balance. I suspect it has to do with the perspective of the driver. I've done a few drifts myself (not nearly enough to be considered an expert of any shape or form), and I've noticed that right hand turns are always harder to control than left hand turns, even if I'm carrying a passenger for the ride.

I get a little more more grip when turning left than when turning right, and always simply assumed that it was because my weight is on the inside of the turn when turning to the left. When drifting/power-sliding or autocrossing I don't notice any difference in controlability, and am as apt to spin when turning left as when turning right, but I'm more comfortable with powerslides to the right than to the left (and have no idea why).

Same here. I was just thinking about this today. When turning left my car wants to break loose very progressively. When turning right I feel like the car just plants itself and makes the turn. It's a lot harder to make the car loose it's rear when turning right... I thought it was my alignment....but now I'm not so sure.

Does it have something to do with the Diff? Could it be that one wheel is prone to breaking loose sooner than the other just because of the LSD in this car?

yea it seems to grip more and then let go harder when I turn left, I can feel it start to slip a bit when I go right

I need to try with a passenger and see if it makes any diff
