We're not trying to convince you to change your mind, so why are you so intent on changing ours?

I was just pointing out that the car might not be drive ready (an assumption you seemed to cling upon).
Peace.
FWIW, I would have much rather had my seats, then deal with the time it took to repair my car. But having a loaner for 6 weeks wasn't too bad. Not to mention putting the miles on the loaner and the trips to ikea made it great. But I now have seat locks.
There has only been one incident of vanalism posted when an S2000 was broken into with Seat Locks.
There have been many posts on S2Ki of S2000s with Seat Locks that have been broken into, without any vandalism occuring.
Actually, there have been 3 S2000s that were stolen, strippped, and recovered - with the seats still intact - because of the Seat Locks.
Also, if your seats get slashed, instead of stolen, your insurance company will most likely buy you NEW seat covers, because they will probably be cheaper than used seats. You can also drive the car while waiting for the new parts/repairs.

Of those broken into (where no vandalism occurred) were the seats targets or was it just a guy trying to steal Oakley's off the seat...or is it unknown? I guess if you could see where they fiddled with the bolts you'd know they tried to get the seats.
That is really the key.
An attack by a thief with the seats being a specific target.
Otherwise, the seat locks don't factor in to the outcome of the event.

Neither are you my friend.

The difference is it seems to take me fewer words.

These are great stats.

If you want to be educated on the topic, you should read and search the South Florida Forum. Talk to the owners there, they have it the worst when it comes to seat theft.
