Default Car was vandalized - how much $$$

So add me to the club, my top was slashed on driver's side by the windshield, my door was keyed down the the metal, driver's seat was slashed, shift knob was stolen, and stuff was thrown about and whatnot.

I am going to a Honda Carland dealership to get an estimate for my insurance company. How much am I looking at here? I'm scared they'll try to total my car or something if the value is too high...

The last thing they want to do is total your car. Itll be more money to them to total it as opposed for paying for the repairs. Hope alls going well for ya, havent talked to you online in awhile.

And from the damage you listed, Id say about 5000.00 in damage (maybe).

Good to hear from you man, car is looking awesome!

I've heard that the seats are 3K alone and the top should be around 2-2.5K after labor (i plan to take the softtop out and put in a hardtop so this doesn't happen again), and to repaint the door I'm thinking would be around 1k.

Sound about right? I was just wondering what % they start totaling the car out.

welcome to the club. Hardtop FTW!

They won't total it on you, but make sure you get every penny from the ins that you can...they're gonna try to low ball you.

hopefully it doesn't cost too much to fix and everything is fixed to original condition. Let us know how much the estimates are.

You got that right, I've been vandalized twice now, hit and run twice, and rear ended once, as well as several ridiculous turbo issues. My last car (00 civic si) was completely stolen.

I have the worst car luck

I will let you guys know on Thursday after I get my estimate. I will be on the lookout for a hardtop very soon...
