I wait for 3 bars, but when I'm in a hurry, I just start the car and leave. Luckily, I don't drive my S2K too much any more. It sits around in the garage and waits for me to come home and pamper it.

^^^A lot of AP1 drivers have said that. I'm guessing AP1 warms up to less bars for some reason.

I start my car and wait about a minute until I hear a tick noise, seems like a compressor that shuts off, then I go. I also don't go over 4krpm or engage vtec until full bars and at least 10 minutes of driving.

nothing's cooler than hitting the limiter before you're warmed up.

It's just that an AP1 has less bars to warm up WITH.

We are at temp with 3 bars instead of 6 (or whatever AP2 is).

There is no need to wait till it's "warmed up". There is no manual choke to deal with and it isn't carburated. Just start the car, wait maybe 15-30 seconds for the fluids to cycle and drive.

Well...in AZ and in my garage the car never gets that cold to begin with, but I usually let it sit for 15-20 seconds and then take off. I take it easy until its up to operating temp.

The one thing to watch out for, esp in really cold climates, it doesnt matter if you let the car sit for an hour warming up, after that hour, only your engine (and cabin) will be warm. Your differential, tranny etc will still be cold. I think its best to let them warm up together while taking it easy.

I always wait for three bars. But in the winter, I usually let it warm up until the cabin isn't cold anymore.
