Carbon Black S2000
Well when I bought my silverstone S2000 I went for it because it was a great deal . . . however I really grew to not like the Silver as time went on. I toyed with the idea forever of painting the car, but until I met the right bodyshop guy who would do all the stuff I want and worked out a deal that was not ridiculiously expensive (some bodyshops are outrageous for this kind of job) I was real hesitant. I was afraid of the deprecation factor . . . but finally I got over it. I maintain my car probably better than most all of the stock car or dealer maintained s2000's out there (I do everything ahead of schedule, my 19,700 mile s2000 has had 2 diff fluid changes (LE607), 3 tranny fluids, clutch bleed, lots of oil changes, valve adjustment etc) and I log every single thing I do to the car in my Honda Owner's Link . . . even mods. The next owner will get a car that was taken care of like it was a child, lol. I figured I might as well enjoy it for now.
Well unfortunitly right after getting my car painted, my top was slashed and seats stolen (literally right after) and then someone scratched up the rear bump shortly after so I had to have that fixed so the pics have been delayed a bit. When they took my seats they took my digital camera too (I know I shouldn't have left it in the car) so I had to borrow one so sorry if the pics arn't awesome.
The color is amazing though, its a special edition color on the M3 (and the M5 I think?). It looks black in the absence of light, but in bright light its very clearly dark blue. Its gotten a lot of compliments

This isn't the best picture as its dirty, but the engine bay was done also. The engine was NOT pulled, just moved the easily removable components to get all around it. The only thing not done was the firewall. Everyone who sees it in person is amazed that the motor was not pulled. Sorry the engine bay is a little dirty, didn't have time to clean it up before the pics.

The trunk and door panels, all crevices were all done. There is no silver left on the car.

One thing I learned from this ordeal is that I AM NOT A WASH AND WAX WACKO. I want to be, I try to be, and I am now anal about keeping the car clean. However, I don't have that special talent. I've already gotten a good number of swirls trying to become a wash and wax wacko. I'm going to treat it to a professional detail and layered waxing once the paint has time to cure a little more (even though my bodyshop guy says its ready for wax now and that paints dont take so long to dry these days).
I'm posting this up because I've been promising the wash and wax forum pics for the longest. The pics do not do it justice though, the color needs to be seen in person under sunlight to see the brilliant color that carbon black is . . . ITS VERY BLUE.

Most people who paint their cars leave their engine bays the same color

Looks real nice.
(but I'd have gone with an exhaust that has tips that fill the cutouts)

Thanks for the compliments. I wish I could get better pictures that shows the true color . . . its really really nice. I wanted black again (some form of it) and Berlina is awesome but since I'm paying the money for the custom job, figured I should go for a color other s2000 owners will know is not stock!
Come up to Atlanta and I'll porter cable the hell out of that paint until it looks like GLASS!!!
