Dry carbon can definitely be worked on, it will not break, tear or crack. I made modifications on my rear diffuser to clear my N1 muffler.

Wet carbon? I wouldn't know.

I don't even know what the difference between wet and dry CF is (to be honest)...i'm guessing that since it has a gloss coat that it's considered to be wet...yes, no?

just tape around the section you have to dremel. you dont want the rest of the CF to fray.

i would tape it for drilling. when you drill CF, you have to use a tungston drill bit. this bit will prevent the CF from cracking. i learned this when i had my eclipse, and i was in the market for a CF hood. Everyone their used normal drill bits for the hood pins and eventually it cracked.

BTW, are you using the mugen wing on the cf trunk? ive seen a vis cf trunk on a s2000 buckle and lose the fitment due to a wing, but that hood had an apr wing.

where would i get this drill bit? also no, i got the mastergrade trunk with the Wing brace added for strength. by the way yes i am using the mugen unless i can find someone who is willing to trade for either a mugen SS wing or other gt stlye wing.... but must be JDM

Home Depot sells them around here. I think this bit is cupped a little, but they recomend the tungston for CF.

Your car looks great, im thinking about the mugen wing you have now, but thats down the road. i have a lot more things to buy before that.
