With a Carbon Fiber trunk....what is the weight decrease from OEM? My question is if the reduced weight will have adverse affects on handling.....ie Ass sticking to the ground. I plan on countering this with a spoiler.

 

I don't know what the weight savings would be but it won't be enough to make the rear step out. The 04's don't step out much anyway. Just get an aggressive alignment and you will be fine.

The only spoilers that are wind tunnel tested (to my knowledge) are the mugen, J's and C-west. And you don't really get any benefit from them unless you are doing 90mph or more.

Make sure whatever cf trunk you get is reinforced to support a spoiler. Not all of them are.

 

Very good points on the reinforced trunk and wind tested spoilers. I will probably go without the CF trunk but was looking for possible options. As it stands I will have to patch OEM holes to apply a new spoiler. I figured instead of paying $800 (quote for patches), I could just buy a CF trunk and be done with it..... **sigh**
