Default Carbon Fiber vs Hail?

Recently got some hail damage so Im thinking of taking the opportunity to get a carbon hood and trunk. How well would the CF stand up to hail damage? Any other things I should know before making this purchase? TIA

it would do better than metal, it won't dent and is super strong

The C/F itself will hold up, however the clear coat, gel coated used to cover the C/F might crack under impact.

There would still be damage to the paint or clear coat...but probably won't dent like metal would...therefore if there was paint damage it could be repainted or fixed for less.

I agree with shadow, however the difficulty comes if its unpainted carbon...the clearcoat could crack and would be difficult to repair and leave it as bare carbon. But even if that happened you could always just get it repaired and painted
