Unhappy Cargo Net!

Hey whats up's fellow owners??? Im new so forgive me if this was the wrong section to post this. I just got the cargo net from Honda and am having a real tough time installing it. It comes with these 6 clips which obviously hold the net. I know you have to pop out the plastic inserts all six around the well of the trunk. But how do you get those damn clips to go in there? Do you unscrew the 6 clips or what please help???

P.S. How do you post pics? Do you have to be a paying member? It said I did not have access to doing that? Thanks so much for all your help.[COLOR=blue]

omg are you serious? thats not a cargo net for the trunk! thats used in part to help hold up the secondary coolant reservior in teh engine bay behind the engine. i highly suggest you go to the honda dealership service and show them the net and and they will install it for you. should be covered under warranty hopefully! good luck!

DEFINITELY drill the holes out to a larger diameter.

The Honda monkeys at my dealership did the original install and just put the hooks in the existing holes without increasing the diameter of the holes.

It lasted for about a month before most of the hooks stripped their way out and the grommets fell through to the inside of the body somewhere. If the hole diameter is too small, it cuts the rubber grommet and damages it so it can't hold the hook's screw.

Apparently you can't buy just the hooks or grommets. My dealer had to order a completely new net to get the hardware and install it properly.
