On the way back from the track Sunday night, I thought I'd try something. I have found that one click with the parking brake is enough to allow the top to close/open. So, I was cruising along at about 80 +/- and I pulled the p-brake up one click and tried to see if the top would start to close.

I won't tell you what happened...any ideas on outcome?

Air brake? Parachute? Nothing? What do you think?

I don't remember if I read it in the manual...

The top only opens or closes if the handbrake is on, speed is below 5mph (I forget the exact number...), and the car is level.

So I guess nothing happened?

The top will not operate at all while the car registers a speed.

Greg, since you were travelling at close to the speed of light, the opening top must have met with infinite wind velocities and immediately transported your car back in time to the period when you were a zygote and your date had not been conceived. The S2K was then returned to its raw materials. You know hunks of unprocessed minerals in the earth.

So, am I right?

Greg - great minds think alike... i have tried that at several speeds (none higher than your 80mph obviously)...

it won't even work at 10mph.

You know they had to think of that one. Imagine the suprise of someone trying to open the top at highway speed, only to watch in the rearview mirror as it flew off into traffic and hit the police car behind.
