Default Catalytic convertor

Hey guys, I threw a cel and it was my 02 sensor so I orderd that part online. I just recently heard a rattle in my exhaust somewhere and the muffler guy said it was my cat and that it broke inside of there. So my theory is that the honeyceomb broke inside and in turn broke my secondary O2 sensor. The guy told me it would be a 500 dollar part Is this true? can I get a cat ofline any cheaper? And could being supercharged have anything to do with this problem? And lastly does anyone have a stock cat they want to sell I have a 2001

How many miles do you have? Cats have a 70k warranty cause its an emissions product. Or get a high flow a lot cheaper.

I think you should buy a Cadillac Converter so you can convert your car into a Cadillac.

cats are covered 8 years or 80,000 miles
if you are within this call your local honda dealer to check coverage you will most likely have to have them diag it themselves but when its covered by warrnty they can not charge you any diag time
even though you are supercharged shouldnt make a difference

Are you sure about this or just making an assumption of some kind? A supercharger will double, triple and possibly even quadruple the work load of the cat. An "unauthorized" supercharger like the Vortech will more than likely void all aspects of the factory warranty and definately void all aspects of any extended warranty. I think you're dreaming if you consider a supercharger won't void a warranty.

The only "authorized" supercharger is the Comptech and only if installed at a Comptech authorized dealer.

BTW, I see you've got the AEM EMS. Any bets if you have some kind of melt down in your powertrain that it will void that part of your warranty? Oh and wait till they find out all that other stuff you've got on your car.
