Are you sure about this or just making an assumption of some kind? A supercharger will double, triple and possibly even quadruple the work load of the cat. An "unauthorized" supercharger like the Vortech will more than likely void all aspects of the factory warranty and definately void all aspects of any extended warranty. I think you're dreaming if you consider a supercharger won't void a warranty.
The only "authorized" supercharger is the Comptech and only if installed at a Comptech authorized dealer.
BTW, I see you've got the AEM EMS. Any bets if you have some kind of melt down in your powertrain that it will void that part of your warranty?
Oh and wait till they find out all that other stuff you've got on your car.

One has to ask why turbo S2000s and Vortech S2000s are not smog certifiable. The cats just can't handle the extra emissions.
well it would be worth his time for him to check at a dealership to see if they would cover it
the s2k that we put a cat had the same problem as what he is having with his
also the flow honda dealership in winston salem nc has replaced a motor on a s2000 that the owner bought and had the dealership install a supercharger under warranty
you really will be surprised at all the stuff you can get away with if you own a honda i do more warranty work then anything. most of the time if they will not cover they can give you a number to where you can call and talk to honda about it. Just bitch enough and they will usually give it to you

There are always ongoing current threads from people who are being denied warranty work from their Honda dealers. You would be of great help in advising these people.
I guess as you said its up to your dealership but it never hurts to ask
Once you get into extended warranties we at the dealership do not make the call. The company that your extended warranty is through will send out someone to inspect the car or will have the technician or service advisor tell them if any modifactions are done to the vehicle
so a word of advice for anyone with a extended warranty is to take the car all the way back to stock if you want to get something covered even if your running supercharger and going in for a window problem if later your rear end goes out they may have notes on the computer or photos of your supercharger on file and use that to deny a later claim. I've seen it happen to a guy with a nitrous line that wasnt run right on a s2k and rubbed a hole in a axle boot. He came back in later with no nitrous bottle but we had pics of the setup stored and was denied.
something as simple as a intake will basically get all motor and drive coverages denied witch is basically BS but thats how the system works

OK, I had heard they were working on getting the certification. I didn't realize it had been done. Still, I don't believe any Turbo kit has it. The point is, it's tough on the cat when you push that much exhaust through it and that's what contributes to it being difficult to certify. The stock supercharger kits obviously are within the performance parameters of the cat, but I'm betting that they get quite a work-out anyway. Mod the kit and push up the boost and I can guess that the cat's lifespan will be affected. How much? Hard to say.
