Ok, I got to looking at the car yesterday and realized that the creases(two, 1 near top and 1 near bottom) were more than likely caused by the brace. So if that's the case, what's a "miata roll" going to do for that? nothing. I had always thought that it was being folded in half. So my question now is...would a thick padded something or another, like the Muz Mat for example, be better? I tried the roll, doesn't work, I am now using a bath towel folded in half, doesn't work too well... any other ideas?

In order to minimze/eliminate creasing, I suggest you use a terrycloth bath towel. First, lay it across the window. Next, tuck the towel under the top where it overlaps the window at the top and either side of the window. Now it will be held in place when you lower the top and will prevent the window from touching (and scratching) itself when it folds in half. The towel also cushions the effect the braces have on the rear window. Any creasing that does occur will smooth out the next time you raise the top and the weather is warm.
