Rear Window/Poster Tube Question
My rear window folds in two separate places, as I would assume all other MY 2001s do. My question is this - Where do I put the felt-lined poster tube to protect the window? If I put it on the outside where I think it goes, the windows still rubs against itself on the insides of the two folds. Is that correct? Shouldn't I also worry about the insides rubbing against themselves?
you want to get a Muz mat for the window well to protect the inside and use the tube/cloth to protect the outside. If you just have a tube, you still might get those bar indentations on the window at the top and bottom. I recommend making this: http://webhome.crk.umn.edu/~fredric/bolster.htm
I did and my window looks excellent. Of course it's accompanied by the well designed MuzMat. :-)

I use a soft terrycloth towel for the outside window and the Muz mat on the inside. Tuck the towel under the top where it overlaps the rear window on the top and sides. In this way the outside is protected from scratches and creases better than with the tube.
