Does anyone know which Alpine CD Changer is compatible with the factory radio in the 2001 Model? My CHM-S611 powers up but isn't communicating with the radio. Is it another model this year? Thanks for help!

I have a CHM S600 and older changer and it works fine. I'm assuming that you got the proper cable and or adapter to hook it up? The std. Alpine cable is not compatable with the stock head unit. Short of that I can't help ya.
Good luck

I would assume that the Honda/Alpine OEM changer is compatible with the 2000 and 2001 head. These changers use an older bus system than the current Alpine crop. Not entirely sure but I think the Honda OEM is M-bus, and the Alpine stuff is Ai-Net.

I think you can get an adaptor from Alpine but I'm not sure if this is from M-bus to Ai-Net or the other way around. I also heard Alpine still sold an M-bus changer. It's probably the same as the Honda one.
