CD Changer and Drivers Seat Questions
Had the dealer install the factory Honda CD changer in the trunk and the unit seems to skip frequently on semi-rough roads. I know the stook is sprung pretty tight, but the skipping still seems abnormal, as I have driven these same roads in other sports cars with no problems. I would appreciate feedback from anyone with the factory changer.
Also I have noticed a slight shifting or rocking of the drivers seat when turning. It feels like a sideways shift as opposed to a front to back shift. Anyone else experienced this and if so what was the remedy? Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Check the changer for proper suspension positioning.(Vertical/vs Horizontal) That woule be the cause of skipping. If its not then it might be the disks your using or the unit its self.
Check for tightness of the seat bolts.(easy one right there)

Dave - welcome to the forum....I see this is your first post!
Not sure about the seat - have you checked the tightness of the 4 seat mounting bolts?
With regards to the stock changer.....sorry to have to break it to you....
I knew that the S2000 was going to be a rough ride, and even rougher on CD's. I kind of felt that the stock CD changer was going to be jumpy....and it is not cheap either for the "privilege" of only a 6 cd capacity.
Not sure what you paid for your Honda changer (>$550???), but I got:
* Sony CDX-6000 head unit with kameleon faceplate and remote control AND;
* Sony X-Plod 10 stack CD changer with ESP Anti-shock,
BOTH for $478.00 USD. That was a great deal. Maybe you should do the same? You'd find somebody on the forum that would buy your changer for a decent price.
FYI, I haven't had one CD jump yet..... and I live in Detroit, where we have some of the WORST roads in the USA!
Cheers,

The Honda CD six stack come standard in Oz and is mounted in the boot (although 2001 vehicles have them in the cabin). Since getting the car, I have only had one skip on a CD and that was when I went into a pothole that required a wheel alignment. It works fine and your roads are a hell of a lot better than ours. Hope this is useful to you.
With your seat, take it back to a Honda dealer adn get them to fix it.

Pinky's right, check the changer to be sure it's set for the proper installation. Horz. or Vert. It's usually two small swing arms on each side on the unit. ( if they are still the same Alpine units)
Good luck, and welcome to the board

Seriously??
When you open the centre console you reach into the top of the opening and there's a catch. Squeeze it, and the top part of the centre console hinges upwards (wind deflector and all).
You might even find a CD player in there.
