CD Changer and Drivers Seat Questions
I had the same problem, so I took it to the dealer, and they replaced the unit. Since then I have have not had one skip. In fact it is much better than the Sony that I have in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Let the dealer fix it, because it could be the suspension positioning, or a faulty unit.

Pinky's right, check the changer to be sure it's set for the proper installation. Horz. or Vert. It's usually two small swing arms on each side on the unit. ( if they are still the same Alpine units)
Good luck, and welcome to the board

Seriously??
When you open the centre console you reach into the top of the opening and there's a catch. Squeeze it, and the top part of the centre console hinges upwards (wind deflector and all).
You might even find a CD player in there.
