CDV seems like a really bad idea

i'd have to agree... it takes some effort to destroy pieces that are supposed to last a lot longer than that.

i have an ap2.

i removed the cdv after a few slips at the track.

the clutch still seems to slip now even without it.

i will be upgrading the PP when it is time to do the clutch. i hope that this will fix the problem

The valve is only part of the problem, in that it could potentially allow you to get the engine RPMs outrunning the transmission before the clutch is fully engaged. That can be avoided by learning to work with the valve rather than fighting it. If the paltry delay time is a problem, that's another story -- who are you, superman? ;-) But the major factor has to be the pressure plate. Ultimately that is what determines the final engagement.

I have taken out the CDV on my 06. It definitely helps. The PP is a whole other issue. There is still slippage under hard shifts from 2nd to 3rd. I did the CDV because it was easier and much cheaper than replacing the PP. I will upgrade the PP when the clutch needs replacement.

no slippage at all.
Of course you don't have any slip - you have an AP1 flywheel.
