Also to note i wanted to fix my center console door not sliding whatsoever ever

Am i missing anything on the door assembly? I dont see anything that can actually retract the door to open

The gear that allows the door to slide in and out

Good incentive to pull mine out and look for that spring......mine hasn't slid open properly for several years!!

The spring is an odd flat coiled clock spring. A thin, flexible flat length of metal that is coiled up like a clock spring. So if the springs connection to the door came loose, no more retracting

The door slides along tracks on either side. If something were binding, no more sliding door.

The leather fabric of the armrest can also begin to peel away, and can jamb up the door as well.

Mine slides easily, just doesn't retract on it's own. Will investigate.
