Default Center-lock wheel conversion

I wanted to know if anybody has ever heard of a kit which allows you to have a center locking lug nut on your wheels-similar to what the Porsche Carrera GT has.

I have seen it done on a VW Jetta in Europe(with picture) but I believe it is custom.

Any ideas?

BTW, Dont ask why. I just want to know how realistic this is.

Only way is custom. You're going to need to change the hub, and possibly the entire spindle. It's really only something for race cars. BBS sells some race wheels but you're looking around $3-5k per corner...

Won't be cheap, but definitely do-able.

I remember seeing a TV show filming that process on an Enzo.

I was doing a little research and found out that there is a company in the UK that makes this conversion for the original mini cooper.

Think of it as a 2" wide lug nut in the middle of the wheel where the center cap would usually go.

BTW the torque usually required to tighten a single nut hub is around 200lbs or more. The Porsche CarreraGT and I assume the Enzo (havn't had the pleasure to work on or talk with the owner of an Enzo yet) come with a special geared torque converter so you "only" need to apply 80lbs of actual torque.
