change diff fluid with new gears at 1k miles?

change diff fluid with new gears at 1k miles?
Will it damage my diff to change it at 2k? The reason is Im having an oil change sched around that time and I'd like to get two thigns done at once ont he ramp. Will it hurt my diff to wait??? the fluid in there now is the lamasol? by hardtop guy.
