I bought two of these, works great feels very solid and 1/5 the price of the race jacks.

If you find yourself working alone, having two jacks is sooooo nice.
In case anyone's still looking for a jack, this one (along with two jack stands) is on sale again at Sears for $28. I just got a set.

Note: it doesn't fit under a stock car, so you'll have to drive up on some wood blocks or something.

I change my own oil also. Its so easy to do that you would have to be very lazy to leave it to some moron at the Honda dealer to do for you. Since my car is lowered I just use a "racing jack" that has a lower stance than regular jacks to jack up the car at the driver's side jack point. Just jack it up, loosen the drain bolt, drop it back down to let it drain, jack it up again and put in the drain bolt with a new washer, change the filter, fill with oil and your done.

I just saw the pic that meth posted, I have the same jack and bought it at Pepboys also. Works great with lowered cars, but I did break one of them after I left the car jacked up for a few days when I was doing the turbo install.

I have Sears Craftsman low profile jack. Still doesn't clear the front lip though. Use 2x6 block pieces of wood to get the jack under the front. But I do all the fluids. Engine, Trans, Diff.

yes i have changed my own oil every time but the first time and the time i had the other fluids changed. each time i use RINO ramps, pull car up on ramps, stop at rear wheels in case, handbrake on....drain oil, change filter without wrench as it is hand tighted. i am done. it is a snap and i do not to have that satisfactory feeling of accomplishment and bonding with the car, not to save money. factory filters are about 5.50 when bought in threes and oil is from costco, chevron brand. new crush washers come with filters, perhaps it costs 18.00 or so to do it myself and maybe an hour of my time.

jacking up, for whatever, like brake inspections, i do with the metal part in the middle of the front end, cannot say what it is called, in the rear use the differential, use a rag on the jack to prevent scratches.

I built some ramps out of 2x10's that will work for a very low car. Drive the car up on those and use the center jacking point. Lift the car and use the side jacking points for the jack stands.

I change all my own fluids. I have placed the from the car to get it up an inch or so, around the tab area, and insert jack and go from there and let the jack release the frame back on the jack stands. If I could do it again, I would find ramps to take it up. But simple nonetheless.

I even jack on all 4's to remove the wheels and detail clean.

Drive it onto 2x4s (my jack is far too large for the car, so I actually drive it onto 2x6s, followed by two 2x6s stacked), jack it up off the ground, put stands underneath. Done.

Just be sure to put the 2x4s back under the wheels before you go to lower it.

I bought a set of race ramps but found the old oil does not drain completely with the front end jacked up. So I went back to using a jack and jack stands. Next time I am going to try putting the rear wheels on the ramps. Hopefully that will give me enough room to get to the drain plug and still allow all of the old oil to drain.

Cheers!
