Default Changes to your signature

Hey guys/girls:

After reading a bunch of posts this morning regarding problems that people have been having with their cars, it would be nice if we all put the last 4 digits of our VIN# in our signatures. That way, we can be on the lookout for problems in cars that were built around the same time as ours.

For example, some of us have been having problems with the driver's side power window. Honda made a change in prouction to use an updated motor assembly, and we don't know when that change occured. If someone had a window problem with VIN# 5125, then I know that I may have the problem too in the future.

Also, if Honda monitors this board, this kind of information would be valuable tothem.

Just a thought...

We know that Honda and some dealerships read this board. If I post my location and part of my VIN number, then the dealership knows exactly who I am. I am paranoid that my driving habits (which are average by this board's standards) might be used against me when I need a warranty repair.

I had my VIN in my sig for months, but took it out a few weeks ago because of this.

I doubt that Honda could use this board against you. Think about it, when you go to the dealer for warranty work and you bring them printouts from this board, that doesn't mean they're going to do it. The dealers never listen to what's on this board. It wouldn;t be fiar for Honda to use this board against you, when you can't use it against them.
