changing diff and trans oil
so im going to change the diff and trans oil either tonight or tomorrow, so do i have to drive around a little bit to worm up the oil??? or does it matter?

This is perhaps just my habit, but I do drive it for an hour or so before I do the change. I don't drive it just to warm up the fluids so I can change it. I change it at the end of a trip that would have made anyway.
A good part of the tranny and diff parts are bathed in fluid at rest. If the fluid has been warmed up, it will fall off the parts and out the drain more easily and quickly. Cold fluid tends to stick to the parts longer. I just feel I get a more complete drain if the fluid is warmed up first.

Yes, I would definitely drive the car to warm up the fluids first before draining them. Xviper, I have to thank you again for your DIY threads. I just changed my diff and tranny fluid last night and it was way easier then I thought it would be (I changed the diff fluid for a 2nd time, but it was cake this time because I actually bought a fluid pump that works). Thanks
