It's all relative. I decided a second set of stock wheels was the best way to getting replacement tires and track wheels.

I kind of like the Spoon but are not cheap. Also the offset is small in the front (+35).

I think you best bet will be factory wheels.

The last thing you want is a cheap track wheel. I understand you not wanting to put a lot of money into a set that you won't use often, but your hide is worth more and a broken wheel at speed can ruin your day.

I'm with cdelena and pellisS2k, get a second set of stock rims. I've got mine on the way any day now that I picked up from Power6spds.

What you should also keep in mind, you want consistency in your driving - change the tires, sure, but any wheel diameter and width change will affect your driving VERY DIFFERENTLY at the track than you are normally used to in daily driving.

/my two cents

krazik,

I have searched and searched. No 16 inch wheel with the correct offset will be cheap.

I found a bunch of expensive 16's like the Racing Hart CP035's (10 pounds).

I ended up just buying a set of stock 16's and powdercoating them black.

Hey-

Do the Kosei K1 wheels fit? Those things are cheap as dirt and light- at least, lighter than what the price would suggest. And, they're relatively strong too.

At the Jogn Eagle Texas World Speeday event, I saw a guy with these wheels on.

It's not your best bet because he had 16x7 all around and the offsets were all +40mm. He had 205/55/16 A032R's in front and 225/50/16 A032R's in back. His car was not lowered, and if it was...he would be having some serious rubbing problems (I predict).

It's the whie car in the middel, to the right of mine:

They are made by Discount Tire ($120 a piece):

GTRPower,

Last time I checked the offsets were not high enough for the 16's.

Please double check for us though...
