Found a black 2003 with 24k miles.. going for 14,000...

Being sold by a dealership, out of state, and they claim it is clean.

I'm thinking its a Katrina victim that they are attempting to pawn off.. but I dunno.

 

Sounds to good to be true. They're hiding something for sure.

 

Exactly what I thought.. especially for a dealership.

This is what I sent em:

What is wrong with the car? What's the story behind this car? How did your dealership come to acquiring the car?

I noticed that the car in excellent condition on Kelley Blue Book goes for around 22,000 and that your asking price was 14,000. Too good to be true comes to mind..?

I'll require all information that you can supply about the car. A Carfax report would be nice, as well as information on how and who inspected the car. Thank you for your cooperation."

LOL I sound like such an ass.. oh well.. I don't like many dealerships as is, since I used to work at some around here.

 

Yep, it sounds too good to be true, but on the other hand, it is Black...

 

Just get the VIN and run a carfax yourself. THEN GO BUY IT IF IT IS CLEAN

 

In the auction, he claims that the Carfax is clean.

Even if that is the case, if the car shows signs of damage and is no bueno.. it won't be worth it, even with a clean title. I dunno.. I am extremely tempted.. extremely.

 

Carfax doesn't catch everything...keep that in mind!

 

Yes it is bueno. C'mon really, you could trade that car in for $20,000 the next day.

 

Carfax wouldn't hit it unless it was a reported incident. Car gets flood damaged, sits out and they change the fluids, etc. Then they attempt to sell it and the insurance never finds out.

 

Well, if I ever get a reply from the guy.. we'll find some more out.

I think I may pay 100.00 for some company to go and inspect the vehicle for me. Then if it checks out, pay for it and have it shipped to me.

Seller claims that it has a transferrable manufacturer warranty still available on the car.
