yes that is true, my civic i crash 3 times one front, one rear, and one on the side "driver side quarter panel. the body shop had to cut the quarter panel because they couldn't fix it. and guess what carfax didn't know about any of the accidents. what i would do if i was you is...

check all the vin numbers like "doors, quarter panels, hood, fenders, front bumper, rear bumper, trunk. your windshields have to say "honda" on all four, also check the carpet if it look funny to you "distorted" get look under the car be picky about it check everything... i got my 03 for 23000 and it only had 20k.
